Make Medieval & Fantasy Music [TUTORIAL]

This course focuses on music composition. You will learn tricks and techniques to make medieval and fantasy music, even if you are a complete beginner. I will use only free software and VST plugins.

*Note: This course does not cover sacral medieval music, we will create compositions inspired by secular music.

The first section is aimed at people who start from scratch. It will teach you all the music theory basics necessary to start composing. You will learn by creating little compositions that utilize specific concepts.

In the second section you will learn how to compose medieval secular music. You will learn some composition and arrangement techniques used in medieval period. The purpose of this section isn’t to be 100% historically accurate, but to broaden your range of creative options when composing music. In this section you will learn:

In the third section you will learn how to combine techniques from the previous section with modern music theory. You will learn how to create neo-medieval music and orchestral fantasy music.
