Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Blair Taylor is a producer and mixing engineer with over a decade of experience in the music industry. Beginning his professional career signed as an artist in 2011 to Capitol/Virgin Records, Blair has since worked for the likes of Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Universal Music, and more. As a producer Blair’s sound spans multiple genres. He recently co-produced a track for one of South Korea’s top boy groups, EXO’s, recent album “OBSESSION” which debuted at #1 on major music charts across the globe. For his first sample pack Blair has created ten new compositions which he chopped up to give producers lots of colors to work with. From hard hitting synths, smacking drums, ethereal vocal chops and deep synth bass, this pack will give you everything you need to make genre bending Pop, Hip Hop, and R&B. LEX Sounds is the premier sample pack label for sonic innovators who blur the lines of live musicianship, creative forward thinking sound design, and world class production tools. The label is centered around the Neo Soul Collective, The Love Experiment, and aims to feature producers/artists who are also live musicians, songwriters, and vocalist. While the Love Experiment and it’s various members are the core of the sound design team, LEX Sounds will feature creative producers from Tokyo, Cuba, Italy, Puerto Rico, New Orleans, New York, and the UK. The packs on LEX Sound will cover a wide range of genres including Soul, R&B, Hip Hop, Trap, Latin Trap, Afro Cuban, Ambient, Electronic, and Future Bass. The tone of these packs will favor the eclectic nature of each of the contributing artists by creating packs that highlight the artist’s signature sound while also creating sonic pallets that can be easily transformed and manipulated into whatever a producer desires. The goal of each of our packs is to inspire producers by giving them access to loops and one shots that are hand crafted by veteran musicians and producers who have worked with artists and companies such as Jill Scott, David Bowie, Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Statik Selector, Herbie Hancock, Cartoon Network, and Netflix. LEX Sounds is a black owned sample label that is inclusive of all while also making sure to elevate the voices of creators of color.
