Moment Iridescence, a Two Swords moment WAV
Two Swords is a sharp new name and a fresh perspective from the decorated British producer Matt Harris, formerly known as Hyroglifics. Having spent more than the past decade releasing on British DnB labels such as Critical Music and 1985 Music, Harris has relocated his ambitions to Los Angeles and embraced a more forward thinking and genre-fluid approach to bass music. The dawning of the Two Swords name marks this experimental march forward as well as Harris’s dual-wielding of his own bass-music-and-beyond output and his production for other artists, such as rappers Lee Scott, Black Josh, and Nah Eeto.
‘Iridescence’ is the glimmer at the point of blades’ meet: a somewhat brighter and more melodic sound at the intersection of Two Swords’ veteran synthesis skills and new-found genre expansions through leftfield bass music, modern rap, and radio-ready pop. There’s dusty reese basses and gritty snares but also mellow keys, garage grooves, and shimmering atmospheres. According to Two Swords, the pack is “a blend of elements, tones and melodic structures from different musical worlds that I love—intended as a way to inspire creativity.”
