Signature The Tribute Cool Jazz WAV
The Tribute – Cool Jazz kicks off the launch of Splice’s new in-house jazz creator label Signature containing custom crafted original compositions inspired by the legendary Miles Davis and the cool jazz era. This release contains 15 melodic loops of an in-studio quartet, consisting of drums, bass, piano and trumpet, giving users jazz loops that are authentic, inspiring and easy to use!
Miles Davis, the iconic trumpeter, and composer, played a pivotal part in forming cool jazz. He was not only a pioneering artist in jazz through various decades but is largely considered one of the most important artists of all time. From the 1940s, to reaching a peak in the 1950s, cool jazz set a new path, different from its livelier predecessor in bebop, offering a more mellow and introspective sonic landscape. The sound of this subgenre is typified by smooth, lyrical approaches to phrases containing things like muted trumpet, with emphasis on subtlety and emotion.
This pack was produced with original compositions and arrangements from Christopher Stevens (trumpet) and Marcus Myers (drums) who also recorded the pack alongside the help of pianist Aaron Hardin and bassist Tim Ragsdale. Christopher is a Grammy Award nominated songwriter, performer and arranger as well as a touring musician having been around the world with artists such as John Legend and Tye Tribbett. Marcus also is an award winning producer, band leader and touring musician who has played with acts like Gerald Veasley.
